<h1>Logging legacy Solomon Islands</h1> <p>A local woman cuddles her fair skinned son who was the result of a intimate liason with a foreign logging contractor who has since left with no offer of support. Outtake from TIME Magazine assignment.</p> <p>Not only are the pristine rainforrests of the Solomon Islands being plundered by foreign companies but also the local populations. A number of young women we interviewed for TIME had been <em>bought</em> by logging workers for sex. The family of one young woman had recieved electrical goods for their daughters services to a logging contractor.</p>
