Fraser Island Wedding - Kristie and Toby

Fraser Island Wedding - Kristie and Toby

Wedding photography at Kingfisher Bay Resort Fraser Island

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Kristie and Toby's wedding on Fraser Island recently. I covered their entire wedding and reception as guests partied on into the night.

The day began with beautiful clear blue sky and a gentle breeze across the picturesque Great Sandy Straight which Kristie and the girls could see from their plush villa at Kingfisher Bay resort as they prepared for the big day ahead. Toby and the guys got ready in another villa just down the road. Toby was lucky he made it to his wedding after having emergency surgery on his appendix only days before. It was a big effort and he didn't falter at any stage of the day or night despite his hospital treatment.

The ceremony was held on Sunset Beach with the late afternoon sun glistening of the water to create a dreamy backdrop for the guests watching. The bridesmaids made a beautiful entry to the ceremony from a lush tree lined track that leads down to the beach from Kingfisher Bay resort. Following proudly behind the bridesmaids was Kristie's father bringing his gorgeous daughter to her wedding. Wedding celebrant John Borg conducted a lovely ceremony which finished with a special sand ceremony and Kristie and Toby's children eagerly participated watched on by about 70 guests.

After some family photos we made some great formal photos on the pictureque beach and forest track before heading to the reception back at the resort. The pool side reception went late into the night with some fun dancing and plenty of singing. A couple of professional entertainers kocked out some classic rock and roll songs while Toby's dad, Kristie's godfather, relatives and a couple of friends also wowed the crowd with their singing prowess.

See the photos below from Toby and Kristie's wedding and get in touch if you would like to discuss having your entire wedding day story captured.
